For family far away

For the family who's a flight away

When family lives in another city or country, a weekly video call covers the news but misses the small things: the new word on Tuesday, the face they made at their first lemon. Aanvi is a place to put those as they happen, for the people who aren't there to see them.

As it happens, not in a monthly roundup

Everyone you invite gets a notification when something new goes up. A grandparent in another time zone wakes up to the photo, comments on it, and you see the reply when you're up.

In their language

Aanvi runs in 15 languages, including Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Dutch, Traditional Chinese, Danish, Finnish, Norwegian and Swedish. Each person picks their own, so a grandmother in Seoul can use it in Korean while you use English.

Where it happened

Memories can carry a location, and the globe view puts them on a map. For a family spread across countries, that's a picture of where your child has been and who they were with.

A year on, Aanvi brings back what was posted on that day.

What it doesn't do (yet)

  • Every relative needs the app on a phone or tablet. There's no web viewer yet.

Common Questions

Does it work if relatives are in another country?
Yes. Aanvi works anywhere the App Store or Google Play does, and each person can pick their own language.
Is it better than a WhatsApp family group?
It's different. A group chat buries photos under messages and compresses them. Aanvi keeps each memory with its date, your child's age and the comments on it, in one timeline you can scroll back through.
